Lopar

Welcome to Lopar, Sandy paradise, a place with the most natural sand beaches on the Adriatic

Rab - Lopar

Exactly opposite the unique combination of the Velebit mountains and marine environment lies the island Rab, like a reduced clip of mainland mountains, precipitous and grim. Its intended cotline isn't easy to circumavigate but each new vista on one of the bays is worth the effort of invested navigation while the true culmination of the sail is coming in the town of Rab with a view on its medieval bell towers and tightly packed houses. This view seems to concentrate all the density and complexity of the history especially on Sunday mornings when church bells are to be heard, in fine weather miles away. The peninsula on which the old town of Rab is placed is streched ou ovr the sea like a stone ship whose polished stone sideways on the hot summer air keep the memory of the bygone centuries. But ot nly the monuments of the cultural history are a specialty of the island but it is also enriched by the nature: unique forests of holm oak and evergreen underbrush on the peninsula Kalifront and for these Adriatic regions extremly rare sources of water which the island has more than 200, only on the peninsula Lopar 30. On the peninsula, famous for its long sandy beach, sculptor St. Marin was born, later founder of the Republic of San Marino. At least, says the legend. The town is surrounded by numerous bays with 22 sandy beaches and offers the best what a customer needs for swimming, sunbathing and recovery. Of all these beaches the most famous and widely known is the magnificent natural beach Crnika, Paradise beach, over 1500m long near which a hotel settlement and an auto camp San Marino are. Lopar is also known for a natural phenomenon-underwater cave Medova Buža, place of the mediterranean monk seal, where, for the lovers of sensations, weddings can be organised.
